Portrait: Bella Chic!

It has only been a week, but I feel as if it has been ages since I have posted!  It has been quite a crazy time.  I have been working overtime to get the website finalized so I can get all of your proofs to you!  So, slowly but surely!  Thank you so much to the families that came out to Bella Chic last Saturday.  I had such a fun time with you!  And, thank you to Julie for letting me take over her side yard.  I am still working on all of the images, but here are some of my favorites!

Come visit my new website!

is alive!

I will continue to share my adventures here on a weekly basis, but the new website will showcase my work in different galleries and will include information about how the sessions go, etc.  It has taken many sleepless nights, but still with a few kinks it is up and running!  I am so excited!  So, go check it out!  For those of you waiting to see your proofs, I am still making changes to the proofing section and will be in touch next week!

Happy Birthday Bella Chic!

Come out and see us Saturday at Bella Chic in Carmel. Most of you know, I started working there when we relocated to Indy last year. It is an incredibly creative and inspiring place! We are having a 2nd birthday party for the store and there will be a "truck" sale of fun, great pieces from Julie's brother who makes things out of old parts and such. I will be doing free portraits from 11am-1pm, so bring the little ones with you! Also, we will be debuting the new line of Bella Chic Baby vintage furniture, there will be a storewide sale and summer clearance, and even a hot dog vender! Don't forget to enter to win a free vintage chair or portrait session! See you Saturday!

Portrait: The Cox Family

What a fun shoot we had!  Jackson is the best big brother to brand new Dylan.  It took Jackson a little while to warm up to me, but once he did we were fast friends.  I think his parents have an aspiring photographer on their hands.  We took turns...I would take his picture, and then he would take a picture of his daddy's trunk.  Then I would take his picture, and then he would take a picture of his bike.  It was perfect!  They were all a joy to photograph!

Portrait: Erica & Brett

We beat the rain on Sunday!  Barely, but we did.  I had a blast hanging out with Brett, Erica and their mom. We started with pictures of Brett, a fantastic musician...he plays the guitar too!  I love the drum series below.  And, Erica was such a sweetheart.  She was full of smiles and very natural to pose.  There are still many images to get through, but here is a sneak peek!

Portrait: Mason

I can't even begin to tell you how fun this little man is!  He was a joy to photograph and his laughter is contagious!  He was such a little trooper, and major thanks to his mom and Aunt Julie for keeping the laughter going.  And, to his grandma for providing such a fantastic yellow chair. There are so many fun shots in the yellow chair, I just couldn't decide! We'll have to make a fun collage!

Anne & Tim: Forever

The groom awaited.  She arrived.  The clouds parted and the rain stopped.  Anne and Tim had a beautiful ceremony in Chicago, and I was so happy to be a part of it.  They were real troopers, and a fantastic couple to spend their special day with.  They are both very creative, adventurous people and were so fun to photograph!  And, climbing the tree was all their idea!  What fun we had.  This is just the beginning!

My new friend...

What a great way to end our weekend in Chicago!  I got to spend time with 2 of my favorite people and their brand new baby boy, Quinn.  He is an absolute angel, and it was fun watching his parents with him. These are a few shots we got in before we had to make a run for it during the monsoons today.  Mike and Jess, we had a great time catching up with you!

The New and the Old

I am so excited!  I have been playing around with these new templates and I just absolutely love them.  I am addicted to old polaroids and love the idea of merging my new images with the feeling of old.  And, you can make them into canvases, which, of course, I had to try!  Wait and see what they turn out like...

Senior: Deepinder

What a fun shoot we had.  And, we shot them the day before graduation!  The weather was perfect...believe it or not these were shot just hours before the madness that came through Indianapolis on Friday night.  We got lucky!  Deepinder was a trooper...we had him at his house, in a park, in a cap and gown and he had a smile the whole time!  There were a few more serious expressions, but the smiles were my favorite...

P.S.

Here's a {digital} sample of what I hope my new frame and a sample image look like!

SMP is framing!!

Sara Morris Photography is starting to frame!  I am so excited to start carrying the fabulous frames from The Saratoga Frame Company.  They are unique, beautiful and the perfect way to showcase your collages, storyboards and individual photographs.  I have just ordered my first set of frames and can't wait for them to arrive!  Here are some images I grabbed from their website, and once I have some samples of my own I will post them right away!  I think these frames will be a great way to tie together the photographs and decor of your various rooms!  If you are a past client of mine and would like to talk about framing just shoot me an email!  How exciting!
